My interest in photography started in my teens while living on an acreage. I wanted to record the sights I saw on my adventures through the outdoors, of the landforms, plants, animals and insects that interested me. I started off on a fully manual 35mm film camera, the venerable K1000, which I still have today. Years later I realized I needed something faster and bought a MZ-5N. For the last eight years I've been photographing landscapes, birds and macro but recently have been interested in street-scapes and architecture. In 2007 I made the move to digital by buying the K10D which rekindled my passion for photography. In 2011 I upgraded to the K5 + battery grip and has by far been the best camera I've owned.
