I'm a 25-year-old designer in visual communication from Lugano, Switzerland. I got started in photography by my parents when I was 8 years old. They got me a point & shoot for my birthday and passed me the photography bug. Soon I dropped it for my mother's more enjoyable film SLR and stack of lenses, and kept shooting with it until the digital revolution came along. At that point I decided it was time to get my own camera, so I went for a Fuji digital bridge camera which I used for a couple of years. Eventually, though, I outgrew it and moved to the next step. Enters Pentax. My first Pentax camera indeed was my trusty *ist D; then I also worked my way back on older Pentax film cameras to complete the experience, adding some darkroom time to my photographic background. As of 2010, while visiting New York, I bought a new Pentax K-7 to use alongside my *istD, although in order to focus more on concerts and events, the new entry has already been replaced by a K-5.
