Shannon Smith

My name is Shannon Smith. I live and work on Canada's East Coast with my wife and two boys. I've been shooting Pentax since the mid eighties when I was given a Pentax K1000 as a gift. My first digital SLR was a Pentax K100D I purchased in 2006. I'm now shooting with a Pentax K20D and loving it. My first camera was an old Kodak Instamatic my aunt gave me when I was a boy. I fell in love with the art of photography when I discovered the works of Annie Leibovitz and Freeman Patterson when I was 12 years old. I went on to study photography at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Desing in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I love making interesting images of interesting people and the world that surrounds us.
