I am attracted to photography because it is a medium of surprise, and of awarness. Unselfconscious moments captured with a camera can reveal a richness in that moment that may have otherwise gone unnoticed. The camera can make an ordinary moment seem anything but. This is in keeping with eastern thought which believes that there are no "ordinary" moments. Every moment is pregnant with significance. And the camera is a tool that can help remind us of this essential truth.
