David Brooks

I am a fairly serious amature photographer, using Pentax Dslr and film cameras. I started back in 1965, with an old camera handed down from Dad, then bought my first SP500 in 1971. I have no formal photographic education, mostly what Dad taught me. I have taken darkroom classes and some portrait classes, the past few years. My main interest is in Equine Photography, and my first sale was from a SP500 camera. I enjoy taking landscape photos of old farms, buildings and equipment, and also digital IR. I still enjoy shooting and printing film B&W, now mostly with the 6x7. I have had my equine photos published in Horse Sport magazine, several quarterly kids equine magazines and local newspapers( equine and general interest photos.)
