I was introduced to photography in high school when I took a photo class in order to satisfy an art class requirement. I used a fully manual SLR, shot mainly with black and white film and processed my pictures in the school's dark room. I found that I really enjoyed the creative process. I continued pursuing photography as a hobby while in college. I used my parent's automatic exposure SLR and took a class called "photographic seeing". We shot exclusively with slide transparency film. This course was one the most enjoyable courses that I took in college. In the years that followed, dental school and a young family took most of my time and money. Consequently, I set the camera aside during this time. I recently acquired my Pentax k100D and have once again been enjoying the creative process of photography.
