Capturing the birth of my daughter two years ago was the inspiration for my first encounter with a DSLR and foray into the wonderful world of photography. I borrowed my sisters Nikon D60 for two weeks, and when it came time to return it I knew I had to have one of my own. After months of research, I decided on the newly released Pentax K-x based on its incredible value proposition and the unique selection of prime lenses available through Pentax. Two years later, the DA35 Limited Macro finds itself almost permanently affixed to my camera with the 18-55 kit lens seeing occasional duty when ultimate flexibility is paramount. While I am convinced the gear does not make the photographer, I am pleasantly surprised by the images a novice like myself is able to capture courtesy of Pentax.
