I currently work as a senior optical designer for EXFO, a world leader in telecom test & measurements. I also hold a PhD in physics, and particularly optics. During the course of my education, I have studied lens design, atmospheric light transmission, fiber optics, optical components such as those used by photographers and many other topics relevant to optics and photonics. Photography became a serious hobby when I purchased my first digital camera in 2003. My interest grew and my skills improved up to the point when I felt a DSLR was the next logical step, and Pentax of course was the logical choice... My photographic interests are mainly landscapes and macros. I like to capture the beauties of nature as I find them. I enjoy the challenges of finding a new or interesting angle to photograph a common subject, making it unique in its way. Secondary interests are people and nighttime cityscapes.
