Originally from Russia, now living in the United States, I am scientist by profession (Ph.D. in Chemistry). I have started photography at the age of 5, when my parents bought me my first camera. I got my first "serious" camera, Ricoh KR-5 super II, in colledge (still use it as a backup). Ricoh cameras use K-mount system and this is how I got introduced to Pentax lenses. I liked the glass so much that I stayed with Pentax system ever since. I mostly do travel photography.
