I'm a retired engineer living a quiet life in Cumbria - I've been taking photos on and off for nearly 39 yrs. My first camera was given to me by my late grandfather, which was a brown Bakelite Kodak 127 and, if my memory serves… it was very basic, but gave acceptable results in good light. I was eventually introduced to the Pentax brand by my late father in-law, who used Pentax cameras extensively for his documentary work. The Pentax K1000 which I purchased and subsequently used for many years was purchased on his recommendation. I don’t have a particular genre or style, but I do like candid, natural light portraits.
