My name is Abel Simões, I was born in Coimbra and live in Arganil, Portugal. I'm graduated in Forestry Engineering and have the chance to develop my profession in my country, a rare thing these days, which is fantastic! Speaking of Photography, the first time I took a machine in order to spend the roll was in 1992, was 10 years old, in the Rally of Portugal, but have not had much luck with the results. Since then, some regularly in that kind of events, I began to carry with me whenever a cheap plastic camera with 100 ASA roll of 36 pictures, but given the age and the associated cost that was I do not developed my skills. In 2002 my parents offered me my first digital camera had a memory card of 16 mb! It was a revolution, it could take the pictures I wanted without spending a cent! In 2007 the first machine I bought with my savings, I remember having made a public collection at home to buy a bridge/prosumer camera full of manual controls and only then started to put into practice some basics of photography. In 2011 I made a updgrade to a digital SLR and I've been taken more and more photos! My job puts me in contact with my favorite subject for photography, where I spend sometimes hours trying to discover new places, the nature. Always stared photography as a leisure activity and I never got any income, which would also be a bit difficult in Portugal, but also because I feel constantly that have not reached the level that I think a picture should have. I keep looking, it's a constant demand!
