K5 is my work horse now. My photography history has had several turns.
Ricoh KR-5 Super II was my first K-mount SLR camera. It was a well made camera, even though it was a bit "delicate." In the film era, I also used ME Super, LX, PZ1, and ZX5. ZX5 was the lightest and it has a control layout similar to an old manual SLR.
Kx has been the mainstay in my brief digital era. It has registered about 90,000 shutter counts by the end of 2011. K10d was my work horse before it was dead in 2010. My Kx has shown its age and limitations, especially with respect to its AF system. Kx is working with my MF lenses now.
Interesting to see that the world has turned around and Ricoh has become the owner of Pentax Imaging. Good luck with the merger and please do not spoil my confidence!
