She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts in the University of Santo Tomas in 2008. Yet she has developed an interest in photography long before graduation. In 2006, she joined fellow enthusiasts in a photo club called 3Di, where she honed her skills with the camera through workshops and regular coverages.
It is during her internship that she got published for the first time in photography magazine, i-Mag, where she also learned about the commercial aspect of the art. Her photos had also graced the pages of school publications and major newspapers such as Manila Bulletin.
In her pursuit of mastering the visual medium, she went beyond photography and took advanced cinematography classes in the International Institute for Film and Arts (IIFA) from 2011 to 2012. Under the tutelage of renowned filmmakers such as Cris Mojica, Lee Meily and J.A. Tañeda, she further developed her lighting and composition techniques.
While she does both studio and field photography, her present work mostly involves covering performances and other events with several of her photos making it to TV5’s news website, Interaksyon.com and the first knowledge based social media in the Philippines, Xpert.ph.
