After 25 years of just taking snapshots of my family obscuring the view of some very important places, I've rediscovered my love for capturing significant moments with a camera. Typically my pictures come from rushed moments in the flow of work--an archaeological excavation, a hurried exploration of some ancient site, a few moments on a summit. I don't always get the leisure to set up the shot, so I hope the content of the picture can carry the weight. We can't really photograph the movements of our souls, but we can capture the sights that stir our souls. My camera and I...we don't make history, but we do make memories.
