I am basically an engineer and started my career some time ago (!!) in the aeronautical industry. After some years, I changed and started a new life in the services world. I work now as an internal consultant in a French large services group. I have always been fascinated by images. I used to draw a lot when I was young, I have always loved watching at images of any kind and any nature: drawings, photography, paintings, comics. As far as making photographs is concerned, I would say that I actually discovered photography only a couple of years ago when I switched from a non Pentax digital “point and shoot” camera to the K10D. I moved from recording family events to producing images. Digital imagery on one hand and the Pentax SLR system on the other hand eventually gave me what I was missing: “raw materials” of excellent quality and flexible and powerful post-production tools which I was able to use without excessive time investment. Statistically, I am rather on landscapes but in fact any subject, any situation is a photographic opportunity for me: what matters is that, at the end of the day, the picture coming out of the process conveys a feeling, an atmosphere, an emotion at least for me, ideally for other persons.
