B.A. Photography, 1986, Carson Newman College, Jefferson City, TN. I first got into photography in high school in the mid 70s when I received a Pentax KM as a gift. I soon had a darkroom in the closet under the stairs and after entering college, helped establish the BA of Photography program at Carson-Newman College in east TN. During the recession of the early 80s I enlisted in the US Air Force retiring as a Master Sgt in late 2002. I shot exclusively with Pentax 35mm SLR cameras until I got my first digital P&S in the mid 90s. I finally returned to the world of Pentax SLRs when I got a K110D for Christmas in 2006. My initial submissions to PPG were from my 35mm slide archives and were taken with either a Pentax KM, MX or Program Plus. The lenses were a collection of Pentax K-mount primes and a couple of screwmount zooms. Since acquiring the K110D I have expanded to a K10D and finally a K20D. I've also extablished a studio under the name Carpe Luminous Photography (www.carpeluminous.com) .
