I got my first camera, a Pentax MG, in 1983. The job I had at the time called for a lot of travel, and I took my camera everywhere. In 1986 I got married to the most wonderful woman ever. We had kids and life began. I put my photography aside, except for the family shots. It became too expensive to develop film for any other reason outside of family images. I bought my first DSLR in November 2006. I was one of the film hold outs. I bought a Pentax K100D. After about six months I was unstoppable. The creative juices started to flow again. It was really funny when I first started, because I was so used to film that I had a hard time. Thinking, oh I had better not take that shot. I don’t want to waste my film. Since that time I have created over 50,000 images. I feel so free again, just like when I got my Pentax MG.
