My first experience with a "manual" camera was using an old Pentax about 12 years ago. I quickly fell in love with the camera, unfortunately it left with an ex. I was later given an old Vivitar camera. It was like falling in love all over again. Between then and now I had tried all kinds of different point and shoot digitals without ever being fully satisfied with the results. Never in a million years did I believe a digital camera would captivate me like my old Vivitar or the old Pentax before it. About three years ago I was given the Pentax K100 D Super. I'm still learning all that this wonderful camera can do, as well as what I can do with it. I believe I will always consider myself a novice since there is so much I feel there will always be to learn with regards to photography, my camera and the world around me that I attempt to capture with my pictures. To date I tend to enjoy landscapes, some macros and nature. I'm working on taking pictures of people, if only to appease my Mother who believes a picture isn't a picture unless someone is in it.
