I am a writer and lecturer in English and Australian Culture at the University of Sydney. i studied English, Fine Arts and film, which gave me a good grounding in pictorial composition and use of colour and form. I have had a keen interest in photography since I was 9 years old. My father was also a great photographer who left me a legacy of great black and white prints from the 50s and 60s. In the mid '80s i toured the deserts of Central Australia camping out with a professional wild life photgrapher. My best lesson in photography so far. My most recent photographic project was documenting a teaching program for disadvantaged Cambodian women in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I took along my K10 SLR and also took a lot of pictures while travelling in Laos.
